海外留美研究生人數(shù)今年增長(zhǎng)1%英語美文

　　NUMBER OF OVERSEAS GRADUATES ENROLLING IN US STARTS TO RECOVER

　　The number of foreign students enrolled at US graduate schools rose 1 per cent this year, after three consecutive years of decline, according to figures to be released today.

　　The report, which was written by the Council of Graduate Schools, said that the rise was driven largely by an increase in first-year students from India and China – the countries that annually send the most students to the US.

　　The number of first-year Indian students enrolled at students at US graduate schools rose 20 per cent though the total enrolment of Chinese students dipped 2 per cent from last year. Total first-time enrolment of international graduate students rose 12 per cent this year.

　　美國研究生院理事會(huì)(Council of Graduate Schools)編寫的這份報(bào)告稱，上述增長(zhǎng)主要是由于來自印度和中國的一年級(jí)學(xué)生總?cè)藬?shù)有所增加。中國和印度每年前往美國就讀的學(xué)生數(shù)量最多。

　　美國研究生院錄取的一年級(jí)印度新生數(shù)量增加了20%，但中國學(xué)生總數(shù)較去年減少了2%。新錄取的國際研究生總?cè)藬?shù)今年增加了12%。
