Teen英文詞匯用法
詞匯，又稱語(yǔ)匯，是一種語(yǔ)言里所有的（或特定范圍的）詞和固定短語(yǔ)的總和。例如漢語(yǔ)詞匯、英語(yǔ)詞匯或一般詞匯、基本詞匯、文言詞匯、方言詞匯等；小編帶來的Teen英文詞匯用法。
Teen: 少年
在古漢語(yǔ)中，關(guān)于年齡的稱謂著實(shí)有些繁瑣，僅13歲到19歲之間就有“豆蔻”、“及笄”、“舞勺”、“碧玉”…英語(yǔ)中，這個(gè)年齡段僅用一個(gè)teen就可代替。不過，teen在古英語(yǔ)中還有“痛苦，憤怒”的意思，所以英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)者往往會(huì)誤認(rèn)為它們之間存有某些聯(lián)系。
實(shí)質(zhì)上，一直到20世紀(jì)40年代，teen（少年）才進(jìn)入英語(yǔ)詞匯，是teenage的簡(jiǎn)略形式；而teen表示grief、hurt、damage（傷害、痛苦）則源于古英語(yǔ)詞“teona”，由此可見，二者并無根本聯(lián)系。
我們平時(shí)用teen表示“少年”常用它的復(fù)數(shù)形式，如：She is not yet out of her teens.（她還不到20歲。）
在口語(yǔ)中，teen也可做定語(yǔ)，如：Popular music, fashions, trends, teen-speak: they change as soon as you think you have gotten the hang of them.（流行音樂、時(shí)裝、時(shí)尚潮流、年輕人用的俚語(yǔ)--當(dāng)你以為自己完全掌握其來龍去脈時(shí)，它卻又變了樣。）
另外，表示“青春年少”時(shí)，我們也可以用adolescent，與teen相比，它更正式一點(diǎn)。

The nounteen, usually used in the expressionin one’s teens‘from the ages of thirteen to nineteen’, was derived from it in the 17th century (‘Your poor young things, when they are once in the teens, think they shall never be married’, William Wycherley,Gentleman Dancing-Master1673). The compoundteenage is first recorded in 1921,teenager in 1941.
