運(yùn)用任務(wù)：
1. 熱身復(fù)習(xí)
老師出示一張中國(guó)地圖進(jìn)行介紹：“This is a map of China. I’m from Guizhou. It’s in the south of China”如果有必要，可以用中文稍加解釋和說(shuō)明，然后向?qū)W生們提問(wèn)：“Where are you from? Where is your pen friend from?’’如果學(xué)生能說(shuō)出其他國(guó)家的名稱(chēng)，要及時(shí)鼓勵(lì)表?yè)P(yáng)，并帶領(lǐng)其他學(xué)生一起學(xué)習(xí)。
2．導(dǎo)入：
老師出示Simon的圖片，向?qū)W生提問(wèn)：“Who is he?” “Where is he from?
引導(dǎo)回答:“Simon’s from New York, America.” 老師把單詞寫(xiě)在黑板上，領(lǐng)讀，然后提問(wèn)：“Where is New York?”
老師出示美國(guó)地圖并向?qū)W生提問(wèn)：“This is a map of America. Can you find New York?” 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生在地圖上找到紐約的位置�？梢韵�?qū)W生說(shuō)明：“紐約是美國(guó)的一個(gè)重要城市。大家已經(jīng)在地圖上找到了它的位置，可是你們知道用英語(yǔ)應(yīng)該怎樣表達(dá)嗎?今天我們就來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)這些內(nèi)容�！�
3．課文教學(xué)
在地圖上標(biāo)注東(east)、南(south)、西(west)、北(north)，幫助學(xué)生復(fù)習(xí)這些單詞．并注意糾正他們的發(fā)音。老師領(lǐng)讀單詞。學(xué)生們能夠讀準(zhǔn)后，做一個(gè)游戲鞏固新單詞：根據(jù)老師的口令做動(dòng)作．例如：
Please turn to the north.
Please turn to the south.
Please turn to the east.
Please turn to the west.
老師隨意發(fā)出口令，學(xué)生要盡快執(zhí)行口令。老師可以不斷加快發(fā)出口令的速度，以加大活動(dòng)難度。
老師放錄音，請(qǐng)學(xué)生邊聽(tīng)邊看SB Unit2活動(dòng)1的地圖。把錄音中提到的幾處美國(guó)城市名稱(chēng)和周邊國(guó)家名稱(chēng)寫(xiě)在黑板上幫助學(xué)生理解。再放錄音，每句話(huà)后停頓，請(qǐng)學(xué)生跟讀。學(xué)生用書(shū)第二單元活動(dòng)1錄音原文。
帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)表達(dá)地理位置的`方法。老師用彩色筆或其他方式在地圖上標(biāo)出紐約的位置，并通過(guò)問(wèn)展現(xiàn)“Where is New York? It’s in the east of America.”用同樣的方式講述“What about San Francisco? It’s in the West of America.”
學(xué)生們掌握本語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)后，老師教授第二種位置表達(dá)法。老師說(shuō)：“Where is Canada? It’s north of America. Where is Mexico? It’s south of America.”引導(dǎo)學(xué)生發(fā)現(xiàn)這種表達(dá)法與第一種表達(dá)法的不同�？隙ㄋ麄兊膰L試，并幫助學(xué)生總結(jié)：“因?yàn)榧幽么蠛湍鞲缭诿绹?guó)領(lǐng)土以外，而紐約和舊金山是美國(guó)的一部分．在美國(guó)境內(nèi)，所以?xún)煞N表達(dá)法有所不同。”
