　　The term “acquaintance blind date” literally means “exchanging grass”, withgrass referring to young men. Such events are usually initiated by “l(fā)eftoverwomen” — single women who have passed the best age for getting married. Thesewomen may bring single male friends, colleagues or relatives to a get-togetherand expect to find their Mr. Right among their peers’ male friends.

　　This event originates from an online post that proposed to exchange malefriends or colleagues with other single women since it’s not a good idea todevelop a romantic relationship in the same office.
